Ophtha Visc is an ophthalmic surgical aid for use in anterior segment surgery during IOL implant as well as Keratoplasty and glaucoma surgery. Due to viscoelastic properties, Ophtha Visc is to protect the corneal endothelium from possible damage. Used as a clinical aid to keep ocular tissues separated. Easily removable after surgery, thus minimizing the risk of trabecular obstruction that could increase the intraocular pressure following surgery.
Ophtha Visc is sterile, isotonic, nonpyrogenic viscoelastic solution of highly purified, non-inflammatory, 2% hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC) with a high molecular weight greater than 80,000 daltons.
